About River Ferry
River Ferry is a small logic puzzle built independently for Frogame. Bring a fox, a hen and a sack of grain to the far bank. Your boat holds you and at most one companion.
The puzzle has one fixed starting arrangement. Seven crossings are enough, but the game accepts any safe route that brings everyone across.
How to Play
Select an item on the bank with the boat, or choose Empty boat.
Press Cross river. Never leave fox with hen, or hen with grain, on a bank without you.
Get all three items to the far bank. Undo recovers from a mistake; Retry resets the puzzle.
River Ferry Tips & Tricks
- The hen needs the most care: both other cargo items make a dangerous pair with it.
- Sometimes you need to bring something back. A return trip is not always wasted.
- Hint selects a next step on a shortest safe route from the current position.

How many levels are there?
One fixed river-crossing puzzle, with unlimited retries.
What happens after an unsafe crossing?
The attempt ends. Undo restores the previous bank arrangement, or Retry starts fresh.
Does undo count as a new attempt?
Undo during play keeps the attempt. After a win or loss, your next crossing starts a new recorded attempt.
